I insisted on carrot with lemon frosting for mine. I've never liked fruit cakes and I can't abide marzipan. A friend had banana cake for her wedding earlier this year and it was heavenly. This soup looks outrageously good - love the flame patterns and love the idea of DIY plate decoration for the guests. It certainly takes the pressure off the hostess ;-) Wedding cake - ugh!
